Das ist meine Mama, Johanna Schischa [geb. Friedmann], Handschi wurde sie genannt. Die Traditionen waren sehr wichtig für meine Mutter. Jeden Freitag am Schabbat wurde der Kiddusch über einen Becher Wein gesprochen, Kerzen gezündet, es gab Barches [zopfartig geflochtenes Sabbathbrot] - da war eine Serviette drüber gebreitet. Wir aßen immer kalt zu Abend, aber Freitagabend gab es als Vorspeise gesulzten Karpfen und als Hauptspeise Gans oder Huhn.
