Renee Molho with relatives in the ghetto of Thessaloniki

Renee Molho with relatives in the ghetto of Thessaloniki

This photo was taken during the war, in 1943, at the stairs of the house we were renting in the ghetto of Thessaloniki, at Broufa Street. In this photo I am first, in the front, and then comes Renee Haim, the daughter of my aunt Rachelle, sister of my mother. Renee with her sister Silvia and her brother Nadir wanted to escape the German occupation in Greece and through the resistance tried to go to Israel by boat. We never learned what happened to them, but they never arrived there. After her is my sister Matilde Dzivre, who now lives in Athens and then my other sister, Eda Saporta, who lives in Paris.
