Meshulam Aroyo

This is Meshulam Aroyo, the husband of my aunt Duda Aroyo, nee Solomonova, a sister of my father. He was in Venice in 1911 and sent this photo from there. I remember that this photo impressed us very much. He was a merchant and had a textile shop in Sliven. The family of my aunt Duda in Sliven was relatively well off. They had four children, two of whom, Telo and Matushka, left for Israel in 1948 and the other two, Berta and Iliya, remained in Bulgaria.
