This is a photo of the pediatrics? study circle at the Alexandrovska hospital in Sofia. It was taken in 1951. I began studying medicine in 1948 and I graduated in 1953. Professors Tatarchev, Tinkov, and Bakalova can be seen here. The study circle functioned for about 2 years. Then I passed an exam and took a specialty in pediatrics. In order to take a specialty, you have to first work as a children's doctor for 3 years, then you have to pass the exam.
[After finishing university] first I worked in Krainitsi village. I wasn't married at that time. My husband was a soldier, as they took him after he had graduated law. For three-four years I worked in Pernik and after that in Sofia. I was a doctor until my retirement. During the last three years I worked at the Ministry of Health. I was responsible for the instruction of college medical specialists.
