Anna Danon with colleagues

This picture was taken in Krainitsi village in 1953. I am on the left with Metodi, the doctor's assistant on my left and the hospital attendant Stoine (first from right). I was the first person ever to invite Stoine on a visit to Sofia. He was very shy, he was even ashamed of asking questions because he thought that that might possibly discredit him. [After finishing university] first I worked in Krainitsi village. I wasn't married at that time. My husband was a soldier, as they took him after he had graduated law. For three-four years I worked in Pernik and after that in Sofia. I was a doctor until my retirement. During the last three years I worked at the Ministry of Health. I was responsible for the instruction of college medical specialists.
