My paternal grandfather´s soda water workshop in Budapest, which was located next to his bakery. The photo is from the 1920s.
Bernat Riemer, my father's father, was a wealthy business man. He taught all his sons the bakery trade. He said it was a very good trade, because no matter what the world came to, people would always be needing bread and water. His three sons all became bakers, and even his five daughters and his wife had to work in the shop. Grandfather kept horse-drawn delivery wagons which delivered his baked goods and soda water to various shops around the city.
