Ilona Seifert's daughter

Ilona Seifert's daughter

This is my daughter. She was born in 1948, a year after I married my husband. Our wedding was in 1947 in the Dohany utca synagogue. My daughter now works as a graduate ,and has a son who has also graduated from university. The photo was taken in the 1950s in Budapest. When we first got married, my husband didn't want me to work. He said, 'I earn enough that we can live very well, and what I like is that when I come home my wife is there, so you shall just be my wife and our child's mother.' I had a cook and a maid, who looked after our home and also looked after my daughter, but it was I alone who took her for a walk every single day.
