Ilona Seifert's uncle Oszkar Wollner as a soldier

My uncle, Oszkar Wollner, with some of his WWI army buddies somewhere on the front. The photo was taken between 1914 and 1918. Mother's brother Oszkar married Daddy's younger sister, Irenke. In this way the families became doubly related. Oszkar Wollner also owned a bakery and a shop where bread and bakery goods were sold. On Fridays, cholent (a traditional Sabbath stew of beef, beans and vegetables) from the neighborhood was brought to the bakery to be baked. Irenke worked in her husband's shop. They didn't have children of their own, but they loved all the children in the family.
