Bienvenida Moshe at the Evaggelismos Hospital

Bienvenida Moshe at the Evaggelismos Hospital

This photo was taken at the Evaggelismos Hospital in Athens in May of 1947, when my grandmother Bienvenida Moshe, nee Florentin, was seriously ill.

First from left is Ella Kounio, a Salonican Jew who survived Auschwitz. Her husband and her two children, Heinz and Erika, also survived from Auschwitz.

Next to her is the famous Salonican Jewish doctor Jean Alalouf. First from right is my mother Erietta Molho, nee Moshe, and next to her that’s me.

Three months later, in July 1947, my grandmother died.
