This is the wedding photograph of my older son Isak Assa and Flora Atanasova, taken in Sofia in the 1960s.
Isak was born in 1942 when my husband was in prison because of his anti-fascist activities.
Isak graduated form the university in Kiev, Ukraine. He went to work in Vienna, Austria, as an engineer, and he speaks English and German perfectly. After the political changes in Bulgaria in 1989, he left for Israel and hasn't come back since then. His son lives in Germany.
