This is my brother Rahamin Benvinisti with his wife Selina in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, in 1959. The picture was taken in the photo studio ?Sterman?.
This departure was a little thoughtless on my brother's behalf. He thought that he could make it in [South] America, but he didn't have any special education. He was only good at repairing shoes, and that's how he made his living. He's retired now and wants to come to Bulgaria but can't because he won?t receive his pension here. This is possible only in Israel.
