Postcard of Adolf Goldmann's factory

Here you can see a postcard with a picture of my father-in-law’s factory on it.

In this photo you can see my father- and mother-in-law. When the photo was taken, I hadn’t yet met them.

My father-in-law emigrated to Germany from a Polish small town when he was 19 years old. He didn’t have anything.

But over the years, he established a big leatherwork factory, got a house and a car with a chauffeur.

Before the war, he even presented his products at the Leipzig Trade Show.

“If you’re smart and on the top, buy a purse in our shop” – that was one of his slogans for his products.

Lotte, his oldest daughter, also worked in the factory.
