Mozes Izsak's birth certificate

Mozes Izsak's birth certificate

This extract is from the birth register of the Szatmar Jewish community, in fact it is the exemplified copy of my grandfather's birth certificate. It certifies that Mozes Izsak was born on 30th July 1850 in Szatmar, as the child of Iczik Izsak and Eszter Katz. The copy was issued in 1924 by the registry office of the Satu Mare Authonomous Orthodox Jewish community. (Szatmarnemeti belonged to Romania from 1919, its Romanian name is Satu Mare.)

I don't know whether my father or one of his siblings asked for the certificate, and if they needed it for some concrete occasion. It's almost sure that they got it by mail, not in person, because as far as I know none of the Izsak siblings returned to their hometown after they moved.
