Das bin ich in Anina-Steyerdorf.

Mein Vater Josef Kocsiss kam aus Siebenbürgen, war nicht jüdisch und hatte in Wien Medizin studiert.

Er wollte nach seinem Studium wieder zurück in seine Heimat, und da meine Mutter Gizela weder ungarisch noch rumänisch sprach, nahm er einen Posten in Anina-Steyerdorf, in Siebenbürgen, an.

In Anina-Steyerdorf sprach man nur Deutsch. Dort arbeitete mein Vater als Gemeindearzt, und dort wurde ich 1931 geboren.
