The photograph shows me during my stay in Mongolia, in 1972. At that time I was working in the Regional Institute of Geodetics and Cartography, where we got an offer for a business trip to Mongolia. No one volunteered, and so I said that I'd go. I could compare conditions back then in Mongolia to the Middle Ages. I was very happy to have gone there. It was a new experience for me. I'd already been on a camel before, during a stay in Bulgaria.
