Anna Knezova Schönbrunova's 80th birthday party

This photograph was taken in 2003 on the occasion of the 80th birthday of my wife, Anna Knezova Schönbrunova. In the photo, from left to right, are our younger daughter Eva Blitz, her husband Desiré Blitz, my wife-celebrant Anna, our other son-in-law Tomas Neustadt, our daughter Mina Neustadt and I. The photo was taken in Bratislava. As both of our daughters live in Germany, we have a tradition that we get together several times a year. Our older daughter Minka (Mina) and her husband come see us in the spring. Our younger daughter Evka (Eva) and her husband, on the other hand, come in the winter. In the meantime, our granddaughter Ester, Minka's daughter, also comes to visit. Our grandson Daniel, Minka's first-born son, also used to come. But he recently started a family and has little children. We see Daniel and our great-grandchildren, Jakob and Ella, during our stay in Germany, because every year my wife and I also visit both of our daughters. We try to stay the same amount of time with each one of them, to avoid any chance of family feuds [the interviewee said this last sentence with humor - Editor's note].
