Kati Tibor on Andrassy street, Budapest

This is me on a bench in Andrassy street (Budapest). After the war, I got into a completely different group [through my husband] and then I started to be interested in musical scores. My husband Gyorgy Tibor brought home to me the music of the latest piece (at that time he already worked at the Operetta Theatre) and I had to write out the parts for each musicians. This is how I started. Then the Office of the Protection of Copyright admitted me; and there I learned to decode all kinds of manuscripts, to work out the composer's writings, to correct the mistakes that cropped up. Later I worked at the music printing house, then at the music publishing-house. It was very good, I liked it very much, and they paid well, too.
