Jiri Munk with his wife Alena and daughter Hana in Bulgaria

This photo is from the 1970s. Here you can see me with my wife, Alena Munkova, nee Synkova, and our daughter, Hana Munkova, on vacation in Bulgaria. We used to travel to Bulgaria often during the Normalization, because it's by the sea, and basically you couldn't travel anywhere else. Plus my wife was a journalist, and the Journalists' Union had a hotel in Varna, so we could stay there. Besides this we used to go on various trips put on by the Architects' Union or the Czech Applied Arts Fund, for example to recreational facilities in Stare Splavy or to Dobris.
