House Economics School for girls in Florina

This picture was taken in Florina in the 1930s.

The Greeks, in order to harness the Greek spirit in the areas around the borders with Bulgaria had founded these House Economics Schools for girls.

The girls were learning Greek there. We used to go to Florina for holidays and when we went for a walk, we saw one of the schools.
