Albertos Beraha during his army service

This photo of me was taken in Athens at the beginning of the 1950s.

I had to go to the army after two years as a student, everyone had to go for three years. I finished my army service some time in 1948.

During my army service I was with a distant relative from the Saltiel side, he was from my maternal grandmother’s side. He was from Kavala; we were in the army together.

I served in the army as a low level officer and during my service I was with other people from the Polytechnic; to name but two of them: Stavros Bulos and Nikos. I still see them every 15 days.
