Carolos Beraha

This is my father, Carolos Beraha, after the war, sometime in the 1950s, in our house on Solonos Street in Athens.

During the occupation we left Thessaloniki and came down to Athens.

My father’s brother Elias had found a house for us to stay on Solonos and Lecabettus Streets.

After the war ended, my father Carolos and me came down from the village and came to Athens, to our little home on Solonos and Lecabettus Street; we had nothing but beds.
