Hana Gasic's mother Flora Montiljo during a post-war work action with neighbors

This is my mother, Flora Montiljo, working in the field during a "work action" after the war. She is pictured with her 'kona,' Turkish for neighbors. The woman on her right is 'Hanuma' Aisa Trebo. 'Hanuma' is Turkish for Mrs. and whenever we would talk about this woman (and others) we used to use this title before her name. Both of the women with my mother are Muslim, as you can see from their dress.
