Hana Gasic's father Menahem Montiljo in army uniform

My father Menahem Montiljo is pictured here in his army uniform. He served in the Royal Yugoslav Army and was in service in 1935 when he wrote the note on the back. He served later than most boys because he was small and did not meet the weight and height requirements until then. He served at least part of his time in the Croatian coastal town of Sibenik in a tank division. My father must have sent this picture to my mother because he wrote a note to her on the back. The note is in his handwriting in Serbian and says: "For long memory from the army I give this to my faithful friend Florika from M. Montiljo Sibenik August 5, 1935."
