This is my father’s brother Vojtech Neuwirth (first from right) as a student during World War I. The photo was taken somewhere in Austria, but I don’t know where exactly. Uncle Vojtech studied in Austria but was taken captive along with his Hungarian colleagues.
The Centropa archive has been acquired by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC. USHMM will soon offer a Special Collections page for Centropa.
