Julius Bondy with friends

This is my grandfather Julius Bondy with friends in the spa in Luhacovice. There’s engineer Snabl and his wife. I don’t recognize the other couple.

My grandfather produced soda water; but it was rather his wife, Maria Bondyova, nee Buchwaldova, who ran the company, which was located on the main square in Holic. My grandparents weren't rich; they were middle class businessmen. Although they weren't rich they used to go to the spa in Karlsbad or Marienbad or Luhacovice; there were always many Jews there.
