This is my grandfather Julius Bondy with relatives. The photo was taken in Holic in 1929. The son, Mr. Spitzler, emigrated to the USA in the twenties. In the thirties, he came to visit his relatives. There’s also his daughter. She survived the Holocaust, a German was hiding her, and later she emigrated to America.
The Centropa archive has been acquired by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC. USHMM will soon offer a Special Collections page for Centropa.
