In this photo, taken in Turda in 1938, you can see the entrance of my grandfather's house, as seen from the yard. You can see that the yard is quite long. I must have been 9 years old here. I was in the yard with my brother Sandor, who was attending the first class of elementary school.
The tower in the background is the steeple of the Catholic Church. The front of the house was facing the main square. In front of it was the Catholic Church of Torda.
I didn't live there, therefore I have no comments about the photo, no experience connected to the house. I was a child and I was brought to that house to visit the grandparents. I remember that Grandma Paula, my grandfather's second wife, always gave me chocolate and milk with cocoa.
