This photograph was taken in the 1950s in the Givat Hayim kibbutz. On the right is my mother Katharina Stecklmacher and standing beside her is her cousin Charlotte née Schallingerova.
Charlotte was born in Ivancice in 1888. She moved to Palestine before World War II broke out. She lived in the Givat Hayim kibbutz, where she died in 1964. Her husband's name was Benjamin and he worked as a doctor.
