This is a photo of me at the age of 3 1/2 months. The photograph was taken by my father, Ludovit Sandor, in Liptovsky Mikulas in 1935.
I was this normal, average child. Quite talkative I think. I remember that I never ate properly, back then it was always a circus during mealtimes. I think that as an only child, they used to spoil me. I had a nanny. We'd play together, and go for walks.
My favorite subject at Jewish school was reading. I had only one teacher there, I don't remember what he looked like, he was the aforementioned Mr. Weiss. I quite liked him. Because I attended a Jewish school, I didn't experience any anti-Semitism from the teacher or my classmates. During those first few years, I didn't have any private tutoring. Later I attended private piano and German lessons. That wasn't until after the war.
