Reni Albuhaire with her nanny Radka

This is our elder daughter Reni Jack Albuhaire, photographed in Bourgas in 1948. As I was a teacher and had no time to take good care of her, I hired a girl from the village to help me with the baby. Her name was Radka and at that time she was about 18 years old. She came with her mother from Bourgas. They were unemployed. We took her into our home as our own daughter and she in return looked after the baby as though it were her own sister.
