Harun Bozo in Milan

This photo of me was taken in Milan, Italy in 1958. I got engaged to my first wife Eva in 1957, and I married her in 1958. We got married at the Neve Shalom Synagogue. Then that night we had a party at the Hilton Hotel. In the same year I visited Milan. We have an almond sherbet called 'Shabuloz.' In Arabic 'Loz' means almond. The almonds are crushed and the oil extracted. You add water to this oil and drink it. When I visited my relatives in Milan they gave me almond sherbet to drink. This is really a very special, very nice drink. We serve it especially at weddings.
