Das ist Martin Neuman, mein ältester Bruder. Seine Frau Mala und seine Kinder Isidor und Hanna sind im Holocaust ermordet worden. Nur Martin und sein Sohn Dolek haben überlebt. Nach dem Krieg besaß Martin eine chemische Fabrik in Kattowitz, die nach kurzer Zeit verstaatlicht wurde. Dann eröffnete er eine Putzerei, heiratete eine Christin. Er ist 1964 an einem Herzinfarkt in Kattowitz gestorben.
