This is a photo of friends' families at the Vitosha Mountain [a mountain in the vicinity of Sofia] in the Golden Bridges area. My parents, Sarina and Yosif Sabitai, are on the left in the second row from the top, each holding a child; my father holding my brother Israel, and my mother, my sister Rebecca. I guess this photo was taken in 1926.
I remember that we used to go on picnics along the Iskar River course around Sofia, which in those times was clean and full. A few neighboring families used to get together, and travel on wagons, spending whole days by the river, and swimming from time to time.
