Wedding photo of Aunt Reni
This is the wedding photo my mother's step-sister Reni. She married Buko, a fish merchant, who was comparatively wealthier than her. The photo was taken in the 1930s.
They lived at Prince Boris I Street in the center of Sofia. Their house still exists nowadays. They had two daughters, Stela and Tamara who emigrated to Israel in 1949. When the time for their departure came, Buko had a very good job with the Ministry of Trade, and this is why he and aunt Reni stayed in Sofia. Only their daughters left, and they settled in Holon. My aunt Reni was heartbroken by the separation from her children.
