Gyula Foldes' first piece of writing
This is my first piece of writing, which is why I?m so proud of it. If you look at the stamp, you can see that it is dated July 1939 and I started school on 1st September the same year. I sent this card to my parents who were on vacation in Lillafured. I learnt reading from newspapers, we used to look at them a lot. I think my parents didn't teach me. And from then on I used to read the papers - of course the way a child does.
