Mein Vater war während des 1. Weltkrieges ununterbrochen zum Militärdienst in der k. u. k. Armee eingerückt, wurde einige Male verwundet und mehrmals ausgezeichnet.
Er erhielt das Verdienstkreuz in Gold und in Silber und die Tapferkeitsmedaille.
