Das sind meine Eltern und meine Schwester Anna. Mein Vater Berthold Samek war Geschäftsmann und besaß ein Bettwaren-und Tapezierwarengeschäft. Meine Mutter, Leontine Samek, geborene Brüll, hat mit ihren Eltern in Innsbruck gelebt. Man hat meinem Vater in Wien gesagt, es gibt ein nettes Mädchen aus einer jüdischen Familie in Innsbruck, und er ist zu ihr gefahren. Sie haben sich gut verstanden, es wurde Verlobung gefeiert, und 1908 haben sie in Innsbruck geheiratet. 1909 ist meine Schwester Anna geboren.
