Vera Gaspar in the Neolog kindergarten in Nagyvarad

Vera, the little girl of my brother-in-law Laszlo Gaspar, Laci is in this picture. I didn't know her. This is in a kindergarten before the war in Nagyvarad. She was taken away [deported] together with her mother, Agi Gaspar. The girl is in the back, on the left, somewhat in a shadow. She was very smart and was a very good student, she was always amongst the best in the school.

There were two Jewish kindergartens in Nagyvarad, a Neolog and an Orthodox one. The better situated people preferred the Neolog one, while the Hasids the Orthodox. The one in the picture is definitely the Neolog kindergarten.
