Laszlo Gaspar at a game

In this picture, third from the right, the man with a hat in Laci Gaspar, my husband Andras Gaspar's elder brother. He was watching a game with his friends. Ont he back of the picture it is written, probably with a typewriter: NAC Csikok - Vasas 3:1, NAC - Juventus 4:0.

The picture was taken on 4th November 1934, the name of the photographer is visible on the seal: Foto Sztankovits, Oradea, Bul. Reg. Ferdinand No.6.

Laci has not been deported, he wore a white armband. He converted to Christianity several years prior to that for the sake of his wife, and because he wore that white armband, he wasn't deported.
