This photo was taken in the backyard of the Pasternak family house on 14, Kovacska Street in Presov. It was taken in June 1941. You can see all family members that got exemption from deportation. My father, Teodor Pasternak, and my mother Marta Pasternakova, nee Preisova, are sitting on the bench. My father's brother Vojtech Pasternak and his wife Etela are standing behind them. At that time Uncle Vojtech was a soldier with the Czechoslovak Army in Ruthenia. There's also Zoli, my father's other brother, but I didn't know him, he was killed during the war.
