Katarina Samolovicova

Katarina Samolovicova

This photo of my aunt Katarina Samolovicova, nee Preisova, was taken in 1931 on the veranda of my mother's home in Presov. Their house on Sabinovska Street had a very nice veranda with wicker chairs. My mother's oldest sister Katarina, also called Katica, liked to sit there and read. This photo was taken on one of those occasions. My mother used to tell her: Don't read so much, your eyes will get bad. Now, that she is 80, she is partially blind.
