Mazal and Buko Lazar

This is a photo of my aunt Mazal Lazar, nee Perets, the sister of my mother, and her husband Buko Lazar. The photo was taken on 23rd October 1923 in Plovdiv. My mother, Rebecca Solomon Yulzari, nee Perets, was born in Asenovgrad [a small town in Southern Bulgaria] like all her siblings. She had two brothers - Jacques Perets, who was a leather worker and Israel Perets, and three sisters - Regina, Sophie, Mazal. Mazal and Buko had a son, Dorcho, who was one of the kindest people I know. Around 1950 they moved to Israel. Dorcho was a sailor and lived in Haifa. He met me the first time I went to Israel in 1958, because I traveled by ship and arrived in Haifa. They also had a daughter, Viska.
