Katalin Roth with one of her sons, Laci

My mother-in-law and my brother-in-law are in the picture, who were deported and never returned. I don't know where they died. My mother-in-law was Katalin Roth. My brother-in-law was called Laci. The picture was taken in Debrecen in April 1941. The first husband of my mother-in-law died in World War I. He was called Laszlo Edelstein. He was my husband's father. He magyarized to Endrei. Her second husband had a shop in Debrecen. Laci was born from the second marriage. He had another brother, too, but I didn't know him. I didn't really have much to do with those in Debrecen, I was at my mother-in-law's only once, I think. . On the picture on the left it says: 'Kato and her son at the age of 14 and 8 months, April 1941. The pants are only for very special occasions.'
