Josip and Ljiljana’s golden wedding

Photo of my wife Ljiljana and me on our golden wedding, which was organized by my  son Bojan and daughter Vedrana in a restaurant. Our children didn't want us to bother with preparing  a celebration at home. It was very pleasant in the restaurant, we all gathered. I have been  with my wife since she was 17 years old. In '48 I came to Belgrade with my sister and her husband. We shared an apartment with Ljiljana's mother and father. That is how I met her. In '49 I married. When I married Ljiljana, no one in my family complained that she was not a Jew. In '51 our son Bojan was born, and in '54 our daughter Vedrana was born.
