The Kleinmann family in front of their house

The Kleinmann family in front of their house

This is a bench on the terrace of our house where we used to sit in the summer. The photo was taken in Breznica in the 1920s. Here is all our family, my brother Emil and his wife, my mother Ester Kleinmannova (nee Gruenwaldova) and my father Aron Kleinmann. He is the man with beard and moustache, wearing a cap. And there are all my other sisters and brothers: Irving, Tonci, Max, Adolf, Malvina and me. Apart from that, you can also see our maid on this picture.

The man with the big hat standing behind my father on the right courted my sister Tonci, but she didn't marry him. She didn't like this man, and later on she married a man from Michalovce called Berkovic.
