Helena Kovanicova with her friend Jitka Amortova

This is my 80th birthday party. I'm on the left, and on the right is my friend Jitka Amortova. Jitka plus another friend prepared a beautiful treat for me, cream rolls and currant pie with gelatin. Jitka Amortova and I know each other from work, a long time ago we used to work together in one socialist company. Jitka is nine years younger than me, and is truly great. Besides Jitka I have my friend Marta Stefkova in Malesice, who I?ve known for already 40 or 50 years now. We also met at work. I don't have too many friends at the Jewish community, I only go there for lunches and various cultural events. Unfortunately I don't have too much time because I'm always visiting various doctors and in my free time I'd like to go to theaters or something, but I'm afraid to walk home alone at night.
