This is a photo from my wedding, taken in Sofia in 1956. My husband Liubomir Kasabov and I are on the right, my father Todor Angelov is standing behind us and our sponsors - Anri Djivri and Suzi Djivri - are on the left.
I owe the fact that I got to know my husband to my friend Suzi. She became close to Anri who was a good friend of my husband's. So that's how two lady-friends married two friends.
Our wedding took place in August 1956 after I returned from Israel. We married in Sofia because we wanted my father to attend the wedding and he used to live in Sofia. The celebration as such happened in the town of Varna where my husband and I used to live until we moved to Sofia in 1970. My mother was still in Israel when we married and couldn't attend the wedding.
