Alica Kirschaber, Aleksandar Necak’s mother’s childhood friend

This is Alica Krischaber. The photo was taken in Subotica, most likely in Palic park, in 1934.

Alica was my mother’s childhood friend. They studied together in the secular gymnasium in Subotica. Alica survived the Holocaust and after the war she married Moni Finci in Belgrade. Moni was rather wealthy and owned a movie theater in Belgrade. After they married Moni went to America and a year or two later, Alica and their son followed. They lived there until they died.
