This is a picture of my cousin Löwenberg, taken in Nowy Targ in the 1930s. He was the son of my mother's sister Lina, who married a barber from the town of Nowy Targ in Poland, where she moved. So my cousin was from Poland. For some time he also lived with us in Zilina, because he was learning to be a confectioner there. He was a couple of years younger than me, but we didn't have very many common experiences.
My cousin died during the Holocaust, together with his sister and mother. Only their father survived.
