Internship Program

Are you passionate about Jewish history, memory culture, and European education? Do you enjoy organizing, researching, and writing clearly? If so, we’d love to receive your application for an internship with Centropa.


What you can do with us:

As an intern, you’ll support our team in various ongoing projects – depending on your interests and skills. Possible tasks include:

  • Maintaining and indexing our digital archive
  • Data management and quality control
  • Creating catalogues and source registers
  • Writing historical background texts
  • Compiling materials for educational events and digital readers
  • Supporting social media and public outreach
  • Assisting with international project work
     

What we’re looking for:

You should be:

  • A student in an advanced BA or MA program (preferably in History, Jewish Studies, Political Science, or English Studies)
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
  • We especially welcome students completing a mandatory internship, as well as those with prior research or work experience.


Important to know:

  • The internship is conducted entirely online (unfortunately, no in-person internships are possible at the moment)
  • It is unpaid
  • The minimum duration is three months
  • We accept applications on a rolling basis
